This is the place for mamas to find the power to conquer motherhood

from a mama that's been where you are

Whether you’re a first-time mom, or you’re welcoming another baby, life after birth is hard to navigate

All the questions. The uncertainty about what’s best for your baby. The stress on your body, mind, and finances. It’s hard to handle — whether you have a support system, or you’re doing it alone.

Especially when there are so many other better things you could be thinking about.

The peace and joy you get from relishing your new bundle of joy — from that baby smell to the gushy feeling of your baby’s whole hand closing around your finger.

Knowing where to go and who to turn to when you need help getting your baby to sleep, or breastfeeding, or finding the right car seat.

The rush you can get when you advocate for the choices you make for yourself and your baby.

You need a village of help and expertise. That’s what She Found Power is all about.

I became a  postpartum coach  because I’ve been where you are

When I had my daughter, I was a young mom that didn’t know I was experiencing racism and ill-treatment in the delivery room. And I didn’t know how, or that I even needed to, advocate for myself.

Then my daughter was diagnosed with autism. Navigating motherhood was already hard enough — now, needing to make sure I took care of my neurodivergent child with the utmost care was another consideration added to my ever-growing to-do list.

When my son was born, I decided to do things differently.

I did more research, and educated myself. During this time, I connected with other moms — all with similar stories and experiences like my own.

This inspired me to start working for a doula agency. I even got certified as a gift registry advocate and a postpartum doula (but I prefer the term coach).

Working with different families, I heard the same thing: moms didn’t feel supported.
Especially when there are so many other better things you could be thinking about.

THIS GOT ME THINKING:

I wanted to have my own company, so I could help more mamas that had stories like me. Mamas like you!

I knew you could relate to my story, and my passion to truly help you conquer motherhood would be the fuel to fire up the engine that would let me share my expertise with moms everywhere.

“Jasmine was like an empowering and well informed friend. She checked in often, sent me a plethora of resources and even helped put my partner and my dad at ease. I would definitely recommend Jasmine to other women. Navigating the health care system especially when you're dealing with the uncertainty and vulnerability or pregnancy is daunting, but Jasmine reminded me that I always have a choice and helped me advocate for my needs during the process. I think without her I would have just nodded in agreement to things that I really wasn't comfortable with.”

My Mission

I’m on a mission to change the misogynistic, racist, and elusive health “care” industry, and empower moms to make educated, relevant, and tailored decisions for themselves and their baby. How? With education & support that covers all things postpartum.

My Vision

I see a world where new mothers have the resources to thrive before, during, and after pregnancy, and have the confidence to conquer motherhood.

My Promise

To give you the support, space, and knowledge to plan your postpartum life. That’ll help you choose the products, care, and methods you think are best for your baby. And will empower you to stand up for those decisions.

values

I believe self-care is vital to our long-term wellbeing, that moms should be taken care of just as much as their baby, and that a community which prioritizes care is filled with the best kind of people.

Compassion is part of She Found Power’s bottom line. I believe we all need to treat moms with compassion, and to come together to give a damn about each other.

I believe that moms should be able to have confidence when making decisions for themselves and their baby, and I’m confident that doulas are an integral part of the postpartum process.

Family is what drives us to demand better for our children and ourselves — and to fight for a life/work balance that weighs in favour of making memories.

I believe natal & postpartum care needs input from a range of professionals — and that the obstetrics healthcare industry should serve moms from all walks of life.

You should be able to count on professionals that stand for & fiercely advocate for your wellbeing — and who will do everything in their power to empower you to do the same.
